Marcella, Richard and Rebecca, we are so sorry for your loss. We have been John and Marcella’s immediate neighbor down the street for 32 years and will miss John a lot! I have had many many conversations with this very accomplished man over the years! The most recent one, John had a good chuckle only a few weeks ago when we met at the end of his driveway, me with my four wheeler and he on his scooter. I challenged him to a race and he graciously declined with a huge smile!! Marcella, we are thinking about you during this very difficult time!

Condolence from Shirley & Paul Shot on November 13th, 2014 8:00 am

Marcella, Richard, Rebecca and families: It is with great sorrow that I learn of John’s passing. I know that no mere words can express the heart felt sorrow that you now feel, but maybe knowing that others share your pain with help ease yours. John will always be remember by those that knew him as an honest, fun loving, gentle man and a true friend. He helped so many people create happy memories during the square dancing years. His knowledge and patients was second to none. I pray now that he is dwelling in the house of our Lord and looking down on you and his friends.

Hello Becky and family. Just arrived home from a week in USA and learned of your Dad’s passing. During the long drive I was telling Cassie and Maggie about the Christmas your Dad made the trick present and how mad Cassie got when we were all laughing and she got the scare when the box exploded. That is how I remember him laughing and enjoying the look of sheer shock on my face.
No words sound very wise at this time, I hope you will be comforted by knowing friends care. All our love Anita
