To view Wayne’s service

MCLEOD – Wayne, 74 of Milton, Queens County, N.S. passed away peacefully at the Fishermen’s Memorial Hospital, Lunenburg on November 1, 2021.
Born in Liverpool at the Cottage Hospital, Wayne was the youngest son of Borden and Mary (Jollimore) McLeod.
Wayne was very mechanically inclined and loved to drive. He started delivering heating oil as a teenager and doing mechanical work for his uncle at MacLeod’s garage. He also loved to work in the woods for himself on his woodlots and for many other people over his lifetime. Wayne was a firm believer in putting in a day’s work and had no time for those who thought differently. He enjoyed playing softball and was catcher for the Rossignol Softball team. Wayne also loved workhorses and enjoyed attending exhibitions around the shore.
Wayne is survived by his wife of fifty five years Judith Ann (Young); his only son Jeffrey (Wilma) of Milton. His granddaughter Meagan of Ottawa.
Besides his parents, Wayne was predeceased by his brother Victor.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Chandlers’ Funeral Home, Liverpool, NS. Funeral service will be held Monday, November 8, 2021 at 2;00 p.m. in Chandlers’ Funeral Chapel, Liverpool. Reverend Judy Cross officiating. Reception to follow. No flowers by request donations may be made to a charity of your choice. Online condolences may be made to www.chandlersfuneral.com.
