Faye & Family… We loss a friend in high school to a tragic accident when she was only 23 years old. I felt that loss for a long time, until I remembered a conversation that I had with her one day. Her husband was into car racing and she had just had a baby. They were about to participate in the hill climb at the races and I asked her why she would take part in it, because she was his ‘co-pilot’. I said to her.. What if you die? She was always so wise. She turned to me and laughed and said that you have to live or you have already died. That she would rather live and know that she had lived than live in fear and become a shadow of a person. I did not know Kyle but I have the feeling that he was a person that truely lived. Please take peace and confort from that.

So sorry for your loss.
Death is a sad and tragic affair
Even when it is long anticipated
But no death is as hard on the living
As the unexpected death of a loved one
Death does not always come with warning
With time to say the sad farewells
Sometimes it comes, unannounced
With no time for even a brief goodbye
There are the saddest of times
When death takes one so dear to us
Without any warning, unexpected
And in our grief, we bid our sad farewell

R.I.P. Kyle
He had no way of knowing,
As he got in the car that day,
The road that he was traveling on ,
Was picked for God’s highway,
A wonderful son and grandson,
Cousin and nephew too,
A real great guy and a true friend,
To everyone he knew,
He was a hard working son,
And loved all things guys do,
From hanging out with all his friends,
To playing sports that’s true,
He had the greatest smile,
And those sparkling eves of blue,
Those who knew Kyle,
Speak so highly of him too,
He truly was an Angel,
That’s why God called him home,
He needed someone special,
So said,”Kyle come along,”
But don’t speak of him as being gone,
For he’s not far away,
Why you’ll only have to say his name,
To know he’s beside you every day,
At night look towards the heavens,
You’ll see that extra light,
For Kyle will hold the brightest star,
That now lights up your night,
And listen very carefully,
When gentle breezes blow,
Or gently falling raindrops,
Or softly falling snow
In the laughter of the little ones,
Or Autumn leaves that blow,
In every wave that breaks on shore,
Or every flower that grows,
In the birds song every morning,
Or the golden waves of grain,
Or looking out at sunsets,
Through a frosted window pane,
You’ll hear his voice in all of these,
And rays of sunshine too,
As long as you have these and Memories,
He won’t be far from you.

Chuck, Linda & Faye,
I was completely shocked when I heard about the death of Kyle. I still can’t believe he’s gone. It seems like just yesterday that he was talking with me by the train bridge on Summerville Beach and jumping off of it saying how cold the water was after he got out. There’s a song that Tim McGraw wrote called Live Like You Were Dying, and i truly believe in my heart that Kyle did that like nobody’s business. He’ll be in our hearts always and fighting with the space station to be the brightest star in the sky. God Bless…
Carolyn.

To the families of ~ Kyle McLellan
“Some people make the world special just by being in it.”Kyle
made it special for all of you .
“I’ll lend you for a little while,
a child of mine” God said,
“for you to love the while he lives,
and mourn for when he’s dead.
It may be two or three short years,
or twenty-two or three,
but will you, till I call him back,
take care of him for me?
He’ll bring his charms to gladden you,
and should his stay be brief,
you’ll have his lovely memories
as solace for your grief.
I cannot promise he will stay,
since all from earth return,
but there are lessons taught down there
I want this child to learn.
I’ve looked the wide world over
in my search for teacher’s true,
and from the throngs that crowd life’s lanes,
I have selected you.
Now will you give him all your love?
Nor think the labor vain?
Nor hate me when I come to call,
to take him back again?”
God fancied he heard the parent’s say,
“Dear Lord, thy will be done.
For all the joy the child shall bring,
the risk of grief I’ll run.
I’ll shelter him with tenderness,
I’ll love him while I may,
and for the happiness I’ve known
forever grateful I’ll stay.
But should the angels call for him,
much sooner than I planned,
I’ll brave the bitter grief that comes,
and try to understand.”

Dear Linda,Chuck,Faye and families,
So sorry to hear of the loss of your son. As I watched the
wonderful family photos that I know you’ll hold dear eternally my face flooded with tears.I know all too well what it feels like to have lossed a brother as Faye and my parents know the heart ache that comes from losing someone they nurtured from a baby to a young man. After 19 years we have survived this life living simply from day to day.In the days to come I feel sad for the numbness, darkness, and heart ache you are all experiencing.I pray that your close family and friends will shed a light of love that surround you making those memories of the days with Kyle glow forever in your hearts. If there is anything I can do for your family like running to the grocery store when you just don’t feel like going out or anything don’t hesitate to call(683-2566) God Bless ,Linda

First, I would like to give my deepest sympathy and condolences to Chuck, Linda and Faye. I’m so sorry for your loss. As a friend and former girlfriend of Kyle, I feel your pain and heartache. He was a wonderful person with a big heart. I wish there was something I could say or do to bring him back to you, and to us. He is now a beautiful blue-eyed angel in heaven looking down on us, telling us to just smile and that everything is going to be okay. It’s just going to take time. That this isn’t the end but a new beginning. And his memories will live on through all of us.
Kyle and I have been friends since I can remember. When I met him in grade 3, he was a giant compared to the rest of us. 😀 He had a special desk that was WAY bigger than any of ours and through out time, he showed us that he may have been the biggest person in our class but he also had a really big heart. He made everyone around him smile and laugh. Even though his life was cut WAY too short, he lived each day to the fullest and he wouldn’t have had it any other way.
In our Grade 11 year, Kyle and I started dating. We were together for about 4 years. We knew each other so well and fell in love so quick that we didn’t take time to realize what we really wanted for ourselves. We had some great times together though. Kyle, Nick, Alisha and I, The Four Musketeers. We went through a lot of rough times but we stuck with each other through it all. Good or Bad. We were all inseparable. Just shy of about 2 yrs ago, He and I separated. We stayed friends, as we always were, and he knew that no matter what had happened between him and I, my family was his family and his, mine.
There are so many tales I could tell about the wonderful adventures we went through. Its hard to pick just one because each one meant something to all of us and was a learning experience. I can remember camping back Ole Zwicker Road on many occasions, Just the 4 of us. There was one particular time Alisha and I left the 2 boys alone just for a few moments, (which we all know is a recipe for disaster :D) and they threw a full can of bug spray on the fire which exploded and scared the “you know what” right out of us. Which also lead to Alisha’s little brother’s wagon joining it in the fire. At the time, it wasn’t so funny but as time went on, and the story got re-told, you have to admit, it was pretty funny.
As the days go by, and as people grow, I hope they learn to live each day to the fullest and always keep your head held high because you never know what just might happen in one split second. And that’s just what Kyle did. Opened his heart and mind to those who truly loved him and all of them around him.
Someone once said that sometimes you have to cry out a lifetime of tears, to make room for a heart full of smiles. And that is exactly what we need to do. Just take our time and grieve. He played a huge part in a lot of lives and he is going to be greatly missed. His memories will be with us forever and his spirit with soar among us, watching over us, protecting us. There are no words that anyone could ever say to take the pain and agony from our hearts. But we will all get through this together.
Linda, Chuck, & Faye, I love you all very much and I wish you the best. Just remember to be strong. Kyle would want that!!
Harry & Cheryl Kennickell
Chuck, Linda and Faye,

June 21, 2010 Dear Linda, Chuck and Faye,
I was so shocked to learn today at school of the terrible accident that took the life of Kyle at such a young age. I was in the staffroom today when Dorothy King (Crossman) of Parsborro told me of his passing. (Chuck, your grandmother had made the bridesmaids’ dresses for Dorothy’s wedding years ago) I immediately called Mike to let him know. He was very upset. His comment was, “You never expect to have your child pass on before you. I can’t imagine the pain they are feeling at this time!” We only remember him as a little boy. What a handsome young man he became! We watched the video and I felt the flood of tears for you fill my eyes. What wonderful things were said about Kyle and how lucky you are to have such a circle of family, community and friends to help you through this difficult time. Although we have not kept in close contact except at Christmas, since graduation together from the Teacher’s College 33 years ago, we still think of you often. So sad we have to be in touch again for such a tragic event. Please know our love and thoughts go out to you at this very difficult time.
Love and sending you our thoughts and prayers,
Gloria and Mike
