She took a job at Menasco Aerospace in 1980 and transferred to Ontario in 1984 where she met the love of her life, her coworker and friend Jacques Lionel Robert. They settled in their first home in Burlington, Ontario and co-founded Quali-tek Canada Inspection Services and ran their private business together for 10 years They retired to Brooklyn, in Queens County, Nova Scotia in 2003. Carol & Jacques then became full time artists; Carol in watercolours and Jacques in woodcarving. They loved their life in Nova Scotia living near the ocean and nature.

Pierre Cyr
My sincere condolences to the family. Carol was really appreciated by the entire Cyr family and shocked by the news of her departure. I am sure she lived a good life. I just wished we could have maintained the in-law relationship but, like it often happens with divorces, people take different roads.
Be that as it may, – courage to you all.

Jacques and Family,
Our heartfelt condolences I have sweet memories of my cousin Carol from Christmas gatherings at my sister Nancy’s home. She was kind, thoughtful, and a pleasure to be around. She had a presence and a smile that would light up a room. She was vast in her knowledge of astrology and such an interesting, unique, talented, intellectual. May she rest in peace and may the family memories comfort and endure. God bless.

I would like to express my sincere condolences to Jacques, and all of Carol’s family at this sad time. I am saddened and shocked at the news.
I was Carol’s hairdresser and enjoyed all our “visits” so much. I always looked forward to hearing about her family. She always had some humorous stories. And was full of wisdom and information.
May all your beautiful memories bring smiles rather then tears.
