Some people have “it”
A spark, a zest for life and a genuine love in their eyes.
Shirley had it.
I believe people live forever through stories and memories people tell once they pass.
Although, I only had the pleasure to be in her company several times, she impacted me in a very positive way.
I can only imagine the role she played in her family’s lives who knew her for a life time.
My heart breaks for your family, however know stories of you and your impact on this crazy world will last for generations to come.
You will truly live forever in this way.

I am just getting back from away and heard of Aunt Shirley’s passing . I am very sorry for your loss and know that she certainly was thankful for each one of you. I also know, that is very difficult to say goodbye to those we love and have shared our lives with.
I pray for Gods comfort for each of you during this time of sadness as you adjust to your lives without her.
One thing that can never be taken from you is the many memories that were created and shared with her. As I read her obituary, I was reminded of all Aunt Shirley accomplished and the many gifts and talents she had. Those are the things you will always be able to celebrate.
Blessings to each one of you,
With love and sincere condolences,
Rhonda Lee

I just heard the terrible news. I’m heartbroken. Shirley and George were my surrogate parents when Taryn, Piper and I lived next door for 9 years in the big purple house. Many nights I would sit with them on the back porch drinking a libation or two, listening to their stories while watching the bats in the summer. Shirley always had a cookie at the ready for Jasper when he would bark at their back door unaccompanied. They always had hugs a plenty when Piper stopped by.
Even when I had to move away in 2016 I always stopped in when I returned, to catch them up on what was happening in my life. So grateful I got to laugh with her one last time in September. I will miss you Shirley.
You and George are forever in my heart.
