My Aunt
I thought I saw her face today
In the sparkle of the morning sun.
And then I heard the angel say
“Her work on earth is done.”
I thought I heard her voice today
Then laugh her hearty laugh.
And then I heard the angel say
“There’s peace little one at last.”
I thought I felt her touch today
In the breeze that rustled by.
And then I heard the angel say
“The spirit never dies.”
I thought that she had left me
For the stars so far above.
And then I heard the angel say
“She left you with her love.”
I thought that I would miss her
And never find my way.
And then I heard the angel say
“She’s with you every day.”
RIP My Dear Sweet Aunt Maxine that wonderful smile can light up a room and warm your heart. You will never be forgotten we love you always and forever. Tina Luis Brenda Madeline Jessie.

there are so many things that i wish i would have said.most of all “thank-you”.when we first meet i thought what a nice lady but the more i got to know you the more i knew you were more then that. so many times i though i couldn’t do it. you wouldn’t let me give up. in you i found a true friend. then there were times i just wont to be and in you i found a unjudging mother who would just be,even though i wasn’t your daughter you always made me feel like family. for that i thank-you.
you were the kind of mother/friend that i only wish i could be.
till we meet again my friendin my dreams you will be.
all my love

It is with heavy heart I write this . Maxine was the most free spirited person I have ever known. Her smile, her laughter , it was contagious when you were around her. She was also the happiest person I have ever known. Does anyone ever remember a time she never had a smile on her face or a hello when she met you ?. My brother was so lucky and blessed to have chosen her as his soul mate and now they are together again and Jr. probably wanting that GOOD cup of tea with 2 tea bags!! and playing a game of cribbage. AH!! the memories of our shared card games, the fishing trips , the shopping trips, and even being the victim of her gags sometimes are memories I have and will always cherish. She dearly loved her family with all her heart and soul. And she gave all her family 110%. She truly was an amazing person and I am so grateful to have known her and so blessed to have had her as a sister-in-law. She will be missed by all who knew her. My heartfelt sympathy to Maxines immediate family, her extended family and her friends near and far. She was a person one is fortunate and blessed to have met in their life time.

To the family of the late Maxine Mansfield:
Dear family members, and friends.
I was deeply grieved when I read the Chronicle -Herald this morning, informing that Maxine had passed away.
I’m writing to extend my deepest and sincere sympathy to all family, and friends. Maxine was a wonderful person. I had the honor of meeting, and knowing Maxine over the years, from the time I organized local 2997, and negotiated the first contract with North Queen’s Nursing Home.
I always enjoyed my visits and discussions with Maxine, and other members of the Local, over the years as a CUPE Representative,
and in later years as Regional Director.
I can only imagine the void that her passing will leave in your personal lives. I want you to know that her loss may seem overwhelming to accept, but … I also know, she will live on in your hearts and memories because of the years of the fun, and laughter you all shared together.
Maxine was a great lady ,and a great union person, and will be sorely missed by all who had the priviledge of knowing her.
Sorry I will not be able to attend the memorial service this Wednesday, but my thoughts and prayers will be with you at that time.
With deepest affection and sympathy, I am:

Our sincere condolences to Maxine’s family. I had the pleasure of working with Maxine for twenty years and in that time we shared many life experiences, we knew each other’s families because of the talks we shared. I am sure she knew more about my kids then they did themselves, always gave good advice to me and a good laugh about sometghing her kids or my kids did. She was one of the best and the residents she cared for certainly had the best. Will forever remain in my heart and will be sadly missed.

We were fortunate enough that Maxine , Tammy and Suanne helped to take care of Mom when she was at North Queens. The staff always had smiles and hugs when they were needed most. Even afterwards when I met Maxine that smile would brighten the day, so always remember when the sun shines bright, she s smiling down upon you.
