
Mansfield, Donald Boyd, 62, of Kempt, formerly of Fairview, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 22nd, 2013, at South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater.
Born in Caledonia, he was a son of Carroll Mansfield and the late Annie (Forrest) Mansfield.
Donald spent the first part of his career as a welder at the Halifax Shipyards before becoming an apprenticeship certification officer for welding and various other trades. He was a Shriner and Mason having been a past master of the Bedford Lodge #104 and the Royal Arch. He was happiest when he was in the great outdoors or helping anyone in need.
He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Hazel; son Jeff.
According to Donald’s wishes there will be no Funeral Service. No flowers by request. Donations may be made to the I.W.K. Children’s Hospital, Canadian Cancer Society or a donation to your local food bank would be appreciated. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.chandlersfuneral
