Mansfield- Alice Mae, 86, of Westfield passed away October 25th, 2019, at North Queens Nursing Home with her loving family by her side.
Born in North Brookfield on November 11th, 1932 to the late Vincent and Hester (Leach) Frail, she was the oldest daughter of 11 children.
She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend. A hard worker, Alice was an employee of North Queens Nursing Home for over 25 years. Alice loved to read and was eager to share a good book with others. She loved country music and going to musical events. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, embroidery and knitting, having produced countless beautiful items for family and friends over the years. She was an excellent cook and baker and loved to do both. She loved spending time with family and friends and had a sense of humor, but was the calming voice of reason when needed. She loved the outdoors and took pleasure in the little things so often overlooked.
She is survived by her children Madeline (Allan) Tufts of Westfield; Loretta (Greg) Frail of River Hebert; Nadine Mansfield (Murray Morash) of Westfield; Linda Mansfield (Tim Mailman) of Chelsea; son Daniel of Westfield; grandchildren Katie (Matthew) Fancy of Pleasant River; Nicholas Frail (Kelly) and Neil Frail (Alanna) both of Calgary; great grandson Nolan Fancy. Sisters Mary (Jim) Wood of Lower Sackville; Carol Frail of Halifax; Louise (Alva) Weare of Westfield; Gail Frail of Halifax; Rose (Karl) Cochrane of Brookside; brothers Manning (Eva) of Comox B.C. and Lowell(Edna) of Halifax. And several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband Nelson; an infant sister and brothers Jerry and Crandall.
Visitation will be Monday evening, October 28, 2019 from 7 until 9 p.m. in Chandlers’ Funeral Chapel, Liverpool. Funeral service will be Tuesday, October 29, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. in Westfield United Baptist Church. Reverend Victor Adams officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery, Westfield.
