MAHONEY – Jerry Leigh, 55, of Harmony Mills, Queens County, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, November 7, 2023.
Born in Liverpool, Jerry was a son of Christine M. (Clayton) (Mahoney) Minard of Caledonia and the late Keith N. Mahoney.
Jerry was a mill worker for Freeman’s Lumber in Greenfield. He loved fishing and spending time with his family especially his grandchildren.
Besides his mother, Jerry is survived by his daughters Lyndsay Mahoney of Middleton, NS and Megan Mahoney of Wilmont, NS. as well as his grandchildren Thomas, Bryson, Jerry and Jack. His sister Marsha Minard of Halifax and his brothers Peter (Heather) of Harmony Mills and Danny (Jackie) of South Brookfield, NS.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Chandlers’ Funeral Home, Liverpool, NS. At Jerry’s request, there will be no funeral service. No flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice. Online condolences may be made to www.chandlersfuneral.com

    Worked with Jerry at Oakhill for many years. In the early days we worked outside around the lumber sorters, day, night, in the rain and in the freezing winter winds. Still had a good laugh though, usually at each other, how cold or wet the other guy looked seemed quite amusing, even though the guy laughing was just as cold, just as wet. Lot of good memories. Jerry was great guy to work with, my condolences. Rest in peace buddy.
