Dear Helen,

I am really sad to hear about Butch. I still have the wooden box he “helped” me to make – who’s kidding who, he made the whole thing and tried his best to keep me from hammering my fingers (which I still managed to do – without hammer I might add). He was the very best of men – kind and patient, a true gentleman and I will miss him. I will also never forget the kindness and patience you showed me when I lived with you in Liverpool. You both helped to make me who I am today – still navigationally challenged, but definitely better having known you and Butch.
