Gerard lived across from my parents home for years.. He was a great guy. My father enjoyed many hours of conversation with him sitting out in his driveway before my father himself passed. Gerard also ALWAYS waved and said “Hello” anytime he saw me outside and he was very quick to ask “How is your mom doing?”. He was a great guy and an excellent neighbour. He will be sadly and greatly missed by all of us. Rest easy my friend.

I’ve known Jerard for quite a few years now.. we have shared some heart to hearts in the recent months and I tried to help him through some anxious moments of him worrying about Vicki. Jerard was a selfless man. He loved his whole family with his entire heart and you could tell because his eyes would light up when he spoke of them. I can’t believe he’s gone.. he was just over here (we live across the road) maybe a week or two ago joking around with us. I loved Jerard. I felt like we had a real connection. He is one of the nicest men I’ve ever known. He will truly be missed. My most heartfelt condolences going out to the family.
