Martha and I were saddened to hear of the loss of Percy to the Lenethen family and we offer our deepest condolences and prayers. We were deeply touched by his and Vivian’s life and enjoyed our visits with them. When I thought I was offering them encouragement in my home visits, I was always the one who went away feeling they had encouraged me. I thank God that Percy is in the loving care of his Savior, and may God offer Vivian his most gracious compassion.

Warmest of blessings and love,

Rev. Dennis & Martha (Childs) Nickerson

Everyone has wonderful memories of Percy. He was kind, caring, generous and talented. He touched many people throughout his life with his multitude of talents and deeds. From his hand-made whimsical wood creations, beautiful clocks and his home made sauerkraut which will always be my favourite. Percy will be fondly remembered.

My sincere condolences to the Lenenthen family.

Condolence from Sarah Jane Woodworth on June 8th, 2012 4:25 am

Dear Vivian and family, I’m so very sorry for your loss. Some of my fondest childhood memories are of you both. We (Jess, Jeremy and I) couldn’t wait for summertime to visit you, eat your wonderful goulash! and cucumber salad and sit in your swing while listening to you both laughing like crazy with Grammie, Pappy, mom (Susie, Carl and Martha Anne Woodworth) and Aunt Doris. I fondly remember going on what seemed like adventures with Uncle Percy when your puppy Red was alive and picking foods from your garden. So many wonderful times and he’ll certainly be missed.

Condolence from Martha Anne, Rick and Family on June 8th, 2012 5:01 am

Condolence from Jessica Woodworth on June 8th, 2012 8:54 am

Aunt Vivian and family,
Very sorry to hear about Uncle Percy, we all have so many wonderful memories of him. In the video you have one of him and another gentlemen asleep on the couch which is funny because we have the same one with pappy (Carl Woodworth) and Uncle Percy. Grammie (Susie) walked in on them after your lovely supper of hodge podge to find the men asleep and thought it most unbecoming of Pappy to fall asleep on the couch, however Uncle Percy was free to do so. In her getting Pappy up it woke up Uncle Percy and thus ended their wonderful nap 🙂
Love from Jessica, Sarah and Jeremy Woodworth

After Glow
I’d like the memory of
me to be a happy one.

I’d like to leave an after
glow of smiles when
life is finally done.

I’d like to leave an echo
whispering softly
down the ways.

Of happy times and laughing
times and bright and
sunny days.

I’d like the tears of those
who grieve, to dry
before the sun.

Of happy memories that
I leave, when life is
finally done.
