With heavy hearts we announce the passing of our loving and affectionate Father, Brother, Grandfather and Father-In-Law, William Donald Langley, 79 years , of Western Head on Saturday, September 29, 2012. Dad was the heart of our family, giving us all a life that others would envy.
He leaves behind many, many people who will feel the loss of such a wonderful, charismatic man. The people especially affected by his loss are his sons Michael (Donna), Shawn (Mary), Jeffrey (Teresa), John (Trina), Scott (Tiffany) and his only daughter Kimberley (Dale Foley), his grandchildren who loved and cherished him, Shawn (Tara), Jacob (Mallory), Zachary, Stephen, Karen, Katie, Mitchel, Makayla, Ian and Ben, his beloved brother Jack (Faye) who he always had a special bond with his whole life and his sister Winifred (Bud Ross).
Dad was a man like no other. He had a way of putting everyone he ever met at ease and made them feel so important. He was a jovial, outgoing man who was always generous and would give you whatever you needed. We will always remember him in this way and he will be a part of us forever. We love you Dad, be at peace with Mom again.
We will be having a celebration of Dad’s life Monday October 1st, 2012 from 7-9 PM at Chandlers’ Funeral Home in Liverpool and would invite friends and family to come and pay tribute to this wonderful Dad of ours.
If you wish, in lieu of flowers you can make donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society.

To all of Bill’s Family – our sincerest sympathy on the loss of this wonderful man. The obituary sums up his life and personality for sure. But it’s very difficult to put words on paper that explains a person of his nature. We always enjoyed his visits. He would speak so intently that he really did make you feel “special”. Dear Jack, Faye and all of Bill’s children and families…my heart is heavy after finding out yesterday of Bill’s passing. Having worked so closely with him for many years, I know how much he adored and loved all of you. We had many many discussions about his family and he always spoke so highly of you. He was so VERY proud of each and everyone of you. He will be sadly missed…he was a big man, with a big heart and an even bigger personality that doesn’t go unnoticed.
I am so sorry I could not make this evening’s celebration of his life…I really wanted to attend, but the flu got the best of me today and I did not want to spread my sickness around as I know you don’t need that on top of your sadness.
Bill’s memory will never fade…I see a bit of him in all of you either his smile or his mannerisms…each one of you have a little of him in you.
Take care and know that others do share in your sorrow.

We was so saddened to hear the news of Bill passing away. Years ago he and his brother would meet up with my husband Mick & i , plus other friends and drive the 3 wheelers on fishing trips & check out the beautiful country side. Sometimes we’d see him at the yard sales and we’d have a laugh or two. Lots of good time together. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Our deepest sympathy to the family. No words will make your loss less painful. However, I hope I can make you believe that he still around in all of you. I only met Bill a few times but it was easy to understand where Scott’s positive attitude, smile and outlook on life came from. A celebration of someone’s life is a great way to remember him.
