Lane; Dawn Louise, age 64, of Hunts Point, formerly of Mount Uniacke, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 3, 2023 in Queens General Hospital, Liverpool, with her loving family by her side.
Born in Halifax, Dawn was a daughter of the late Richard and Joyce (Stewart) Seaboyer.
Dawn loved her family deeply and devoted her life to caring for them. She worked as a bookkeeper in her younger days before becoming a fulltime mother to Steven. Music played a large role in Dawn’s life. She and her sisters used to sing harmony together growing up and later she enjoyed singing country gospel music at various churches and nursing homes with Mitchell and Steven. She also enjoyed painting and playing cards, especially 45’s. Dawn will be remembered by all who knew her for her dry sense of humor and her quick wit. She had a happy life and was grateful for the many friendships she made along the way. Once you became friends with Dawn you were friends for life. She was truly one of a kind and will be greatly missed.
Dawn is survived by her loving husband, Mitchell and her son, Steven Lane (Caleb Nickerson) of Yarmouth.
Besides her parents, Dawn was predeceased by sisters, Marilynn, Darlene and a brother, Rick.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Chandlers’ Funeral Service, Liverpool. A private family service will be held at a later date. No flowers by request. Donations may be made to Dykeland Lodge, Windsor, Nova Scotia. To share memories or condolences, please visit www.chandlersfuneral.com
