
LALANDE – Lottie Mae, 91, of Bridgewater, passed away peacefully in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater on Monday, September 4, 2017.
Born in North Canaan, Connecticut, she was a daughter of the late Howard and Jennie (Dexter) (Harrison) Jaycox.
Lottie lovingly provided domestic and home care for families in Ontario and on the South Shore for many years. She enjoyed knitting, sewing and cooking, and is fondly remembered by her family as a strong, independent, woman. Lottie was a warm and loving soul, always smiling, and of unshakable faith. Everyone who met her, loved her. She had a heart of Gold. She will also be remembered for her love of grape nut ice cream and “cheezies”.
She is survived by her daughters Dorina (John) O’Connor of Edmonton, AB; Lorraine (Frank) Walker of North Bay, ON; Jeannine Lalande (Al Emslie) of BC; her son Paul (Maryann Hope) of Hope, BC. She will be lovingly missed by her many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her daughters Paulette Serifin and Lottie Blackburn, her sister Ruth Harding and her brother in law Fred Harding; her half brother Jake Harrison.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Chandlers’ Funeral Home, Liverpool. Funeral service will be Thursday, September 7, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in Highway Pentecostal Church, Brooklyn. Reverend James Haughn officiating. Reception to follow. Burial will be in Seaside Cemetery, Brooklyn.
