Alberta Lillian Hyson

Hyson – Alberta Lillian, 87, of Pleasantfield, Queens County, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, January 30th, 2022.

Born in Milton, Queens County, Alberta was a daughter of the late Frank and Vera (Wamboldt) Whynot.

Alberta and Leo fostered many children in their earlier years. She was an animal lover and enjoyed spending time with her pets, especially her beloved canine, Buddy. A large family of rabbits moved onto her property a couple of years ago and gave her great joy. Alberta was a people person and loved having company. She enjoyed gardening and listening to gospel music. Alberta had a great sense of humor and a warm loving heart. She will be greatly missed by her family and close friends.

Alberta is survived by her daughter, Jane at home; sisters, Theresa Brewster of Milton, Judith (Roger) Williams of Lockeport; brother, Eugene of Caledonia; half-sister, Brenda Cunningham; half-brother Gary (Brenda) Oickle, both of Milton; several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, Alberta was predeceased by her husband, Leo; sisters, Rosaline, Christine, Diane, Virginia and Dolly Mae; brothers, Sidney, Jerry, Charlie, Lawrence, Gary and Owen; half-brother, Ronald Oickle.

Cremation has taken place under the direction of Chandlers’ Funeral Home, Liverpool, NS. A Celebration of Alberta’s Life will be held Tuesday, June 28th, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. in Pleastantfield Cemetery.
