David Neil Hysert

Hysert; David Neil, age 76, of Brooklyn, N.S. passed away peacefully at the Queens General Hospital with his family by his side on March 8, 2024.
Born in Stoney Creek Ontario, David was the son of the late Neil and Peggy (Scarle) Hysert.
David was a member of the N.S. Salmon Association, Hollow Log Rifle and Pistol Association, and a member of the West Hants Wildlife Association. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, and hockey lover (Go Leafs Go!). He had been a Navy man in his early years and retired as a Radar Plotter and completing his work career as a Stationary Engineer.
David is survived by his loving wife, Maureen (Schnare) of 22 years, daughters Shelly
(Roger Stubbs) of Dartmouth, and Ashley of Windsor, and stepdaughter Kelly (Blair
Ball) of Cambridge. His three beautiful grandsons Brandon, Brady ( Dartmouth), and
Cody (Cambridge). Sister Bonnie (Jim Rubel) and many nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, David was predeceased by his brother Bob of Ontario.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Chandlers’ Funeral Home, Liverpool, NS. As per David’s wishes, there will be no visitation or service. A celebration of life will be at a later date.
