To all of Gladys family, especially Sandy and Mona. I cannot express how my heart breaks to hear this. Gladys was an awesome woman. I know I will kick myself for not getting down lately but I will cherish the many times Mom and I came down to see you all and we snacked and yanked the hours away. Good times, great memories. I will be forever grateful for them. I must also say what true blessings you two girls have been to your mother. Please comfort each other and know I am only a phone call away. I am sending those same big hugs we always gave each other on our arrival and our departure, then there were our photo shoots. I made myself cry. God bless you all. Love from me and Mom Xoxo

Mona & Sandra,
Although you can not hear her voice, or see her smile no more,
Your mother walks beside you still, just as she did before
She listens to your stories and she wipes away your tears.
She wraps her arms around you, and she understands your fears.
It’s just she isn’t visible, to see with human eye,
But talk to her in silence and her spirit will reply,
You will feel the love she has for you, you”ll hear her in your heart,
She’s left her human body, but your souls will never part.

Sorry to hear of your mom’s passing. She was such a nice lady. I always think of her when I think of Lane’s. She would always come and get her lunch and have a few words and go right back to work always so kind and soft spoken. I remember coming to visit when your Dad was posted to Cornwallis and my sister Pat had joined My first look at the military life and I knew that was what I wanted to do. I hope you find some peace and comfort in remembering the good times you had together.

Mona and Sandy, I was so sad to learn of your Mom’s passing. I think of all Mom’s sisters, I always thought Gladys was the strong one. She was always kind and a gentle soul. I don’t think a phone call was place to my Mom, that I didn’t ask about Gladys. The rest were on facebook, but Gladys and Mom were “old school”. I always kept up with everyone, and I have fond memories of my aunt and uncle coming home and having salt herring and boiled potatoes. I wish I could be there. I send hugs across the miles and pray for peace and strength for the coming days. Hold your memories close, reminisce, laugh, and cry, if need be. Love you all. Make sure you collect your hugs from Mom. xoxoxo
