
Hubley, Lloyd Edmund, age 73, of Liverpool, passed away on Tuesday, May 23rd, 2017, in the Halifax Infirmary, QEII, Halifax.
Born in Sheet Harbour, he was the son of the late James and Sarah (Beaver) Hubley.
Lloyd worked for many years as a captain of a fishing boat. He loved going for walks, playing kingo on t.v. and he was well known for the beautiful birdhouses he built.
He is survived by his loving wife, Marie; daughters, Kathy Williams (Ronald Swansburg), of Shelburne, Sandra Chetwynd, of Alberta; stepdaughters, Angela McDonald, of Halifax, Kathy McDonald (John Herridge), of Lunenburg; five grandchildren; five step grandchildren; four great-grandchildren, six step great-grandchildren; sisters Jean Sparks, of Brighton, Ontario, Hilda Boutilier, of Halifax, Gretta Baggs (Robin Prowsdale), of Alberta, Christine Meager, of Tangier; brother, Jim Hubley (Karen Mills), of Timberlea.
He was predeceased by wife, Dorothy, sister, Evelyn; brothers Sterling and Garbin.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, May 27th, from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m., and a funeral service will be held on Sunday, May 28th, 2017, at 2:00 p.m., all from Chandlers’ Funeral Home, Liverpool.
