
Hubley, Annie “Phyllis”, age 94, of Liverpool, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 9th, 2014, at Queens Manor, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Milton, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Winifred (Emeno) Legge.
Phyllis worked for many years as a receptionist at Queens General Hospital, retiring in 1985. Even after retirement from the hospital she spent many hours volunteering in many capacities to help make Queens General a better place. Over the years she served as a Brownie, Canadian Girls In Training and Girl Guide Leader for many years. She was a member of Pinehurst Rebekah Lodge #95 and the Arbutus Chapter #30, Order of the Eastern Star, Milton.
She is survived by daughter, Heather Whynot, of Liverpool; son Maynard, of Brooklyn; nine grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; sister Barbara Thorbourne, of Liverpool.
She was predeceased by her loving husband, Frank; daughter, Jean; sister, Dorothy in infancy; brothers, Arthur and John.
A Celebration of Phyllis’s Life will be held on Saturday, December 13th, 2014, at 11:00 a.m., from Chandlers’ Funeral Home, followed by a reception. Reverend Judy Cross officiating. Burial will be in the Zion United Church Cemetery, College Street, Liverpool. Family flowers only. Donations may be made to the Queens General Hospital Foundation.
