
HIRTLE – Berlyn C., 88, formerly of Northfield, passed away peacefully in North Queens Nursing Home, Caledonia on Sunday, September 1, 2019.
Born in New Elm, Queens County. Berlyn was a son of the late Currie and Dorinda (Zwicker) Hirtle.
Berlyn worked as a mechanic and bus driver for most of his life.
He is survived by his daughter Ann (Perry) Potter of Milton, his grandson Logan Williams (Julia Mann) of Liverpool and numerous sisters and brothers.
Besides is parents, Berlyn was predeceased by his wife Shirley, a sister Eva and brothers James and David.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Chandlers’ Funeral Home, Liverpool. At Berlyn’s request, there will be no funeral service. No flowers. Donations may be made to the North Queens Nursing Home, Caledonia. Online condolences may be made to www.chandlersfuneral.com.

So sorry to hear of Berlyn’s passing. We spent many good times chatting together and ATV’ing the lands around Pretty Mary Lake and elsewhere often with a good group of friends. He was a very capable man who could pretty well fix anything mechanical. I was proud to call him a very good friend and felt fortunate to have had a short visit with him in late August of this year. He was a good man and lived a good life.
