
HIMMELMAN – Jerry R., 65, of Brooklyn, Queens County, passed away suddenly in Queens General Hospital, Liverpool on Friday, February 24, 2017.
Born in Bridgewater, he was a son of the late Ivan and Elizabeth (Walfield) Himmelman.
Jerry was a fisherman all his life and captained many vessels during his fishing career. He was an avid reader, loved to hunt and cook and enjoyed chatting with friends for hours. He loved animals especially his beloved pug “Mayflower” and the Lahave Islands, where he grew up, remained “home” in his heart.
Jerry is survived by his companion Pauline Reid.
He was predeceased by his wife Pearl (Laffin)
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Chandlers’ Funeral Home, Liverpool. At Jerry’s request, there will be no funeral service. No flowers. Donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. Online condolences may be made to www.chandlersfuneral.com
