For all those who knew Maurice, knew that he was a kind loving gentle soul with a heart of gold…
A loyal friend that would go out of his way to help lend a hand to anyone…He had many friends in Danesville , and the whole Community cared for him deeply… I have many childhood memories of him , and growing up over the years…He could always be found at our house early every morning usually between 5 and 6 o’clock for his many early morning cups of tea and conversation with Dad… and always back and forth throughout every day we would see him coming in the driveway either in his car or on his bicycle, ( Dad would say here comes Maurice for his tea ! ) and they would sit either at the kitchen table and have a good yarn or sit out on the deck on the patio swing… If there ever was a day that he missed being at our house, Dad would worry and think there was something wrong and go to his house to check on him… And for the other Community members not to see Maurice out and about on a daily basis seemed odd also and someone would always go and make sure that he was fine, there was always someone looking out for him…
Even with his many health issues, ups and downs and set backs over the years, and also as he got up in the years in age and had to move out of his family homestead wich saddened him so much, and was no longer able to drive himself and get around as well due to ill health, he always managed to still find the time and effort to still connect and visit with his old friends in the Community and with my Dad who will miss him deeply…There were also lost of funny and amusing stories associated with Maurice’s life over the years and I’m sure that many Danesville Community members would fondly agree ( sometimes never a dull moment LOL ) I for one have so many comical memories of you Maurice, and so does our whole family… and many memories of you spending a lot of time at my Parents house as a close family friend ❤ ( and you being basically thought of as family to us ) I was saddened to hear from Dad that you had passed and it was hard to believe because Dad had just saw you the week before…Your many friends will miss you Maurice ! … We know that you are now finally with Paul and your Mom and Dad in Heaven… We know that you cherished and loved them so much ❤ Rest Easy Maurice…

Aunt Elaine and Family, we are so sorry to hear of Uncle Maurice’s passing. Our condolences are with you and your family at this sad time in life. I have a lot of memories of Maurice over the years especially as I was growing up we were always together every day. Maurice was like a brother to me. I remember Maurice in the spring when fishing season started he would have the worms dug waiting for us to get home from school to go fishing. With this Covid Virus I am not allowed outside of my county to go to his funeral and pay my last respects.
