Burton “Buddy” Allen Greenough

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Burton “Buddy” Allen Greenough at age 92. He passed away peacefully in his sleep at Roseway Manor in Shelburne beside his wife of over 70 years on February 17, 2024. 
Buddy, a family man who loved his wife dearly, was a carpenter before working at Michelin where he had a long career. Buddy has enjoyed decades of retirement and in his spare time he enjoyed playing bingo, tinkering with his tools, fishing, and spending time with his loved ones especially his great grandkids. Anyone who met him knows what a kind and gentle soul he was and he was rewarded with a life that anyone would say is story book. Although he is gone, Buddy will never be forgotten.
Buddy is survived by his wife Arlene; Daughter in law Laura Greenough, granddaughters; Heidi (Eddie) Robar, Karen Greenough (Jared); Great Grandchildren Abby Robar, Olivia Robar, Grace Robar. 

He was predeceased by his parents Esther and Aubrey Greenough, his son Larry and brother Richard.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Chandlers’ Funeral Home, Liverpool, NS. A celebration of Buddy’s life will be held at a later date. Online condolences may be made below.
