Green, Elinor Patricia, of Liverpool, Queens County, completed her business on Friday, April 28th, 2017.
Born in St John’s, Newfoundland, she was a daughter of the late Ronald and Marguerite (Parsons) Clark. She was a daughter, sister, wife, mother, nanny to two generations and friend. And though her life took her to Nova Scotia, Ottawa and then back to Nova Scotia, she was forever a proud Newfoundlander.
Elinor loved to be with people – her family most of all. She enjoyed early morning swims at White Point, devouring and exchanging books, crossword puzzles, road trips and a good drink at 5PM – sometimes two.
She found great joy in life even when she had reasons not to be joyful. She was kind and funny, stubborn and determined and always a lady.
She is survived by daughter, Margaret “Peggy” Green (Roger Brooks); son, Christopher Green; grandchildren, Michael Gorman (Andrea Saunders); David (Maria) Gorman; Matthew (Mallory) Gorman, great grandchildren, Oliver, Henry, Malcolm and Christopher; sister, Carol (Ernie) Trischuk.
She was predeceased by her husband, Milton; daughter Jennifer; son, Clark; sisters, Barbara, Marguerite “Peg”; brothers, Hubert, Douglas.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Chandlers’ Funeral Home, Liverpool. At Elinor’s request, there will be no visitation or funeral. No flowers by request. Donations in memory may be made to Cystic Fibrosis Canada. To share memories or condolences please visit www.chandlersfuneral.com

To All of the Family of Eleanor Clark
It is with deep sadness to hear of Eleanor’s passing. There were so many good times in bygone days. I remember so many stories, one of which, when her car rolled off the road and into the bog in Corner Brook , that nearly scared her to death. Many memories with Mitt and Eleanor, in the good old days that will always be cherished. At 5 o’clock I will have a drink for her.
