Babes, Kathy and family, Dick was one of those people who brought smiles and laughter wherever he went through his personality and his music. I know that during these “grown up” years we haven’t seen each other often but childhood memories with your family are fond ones for me and as a “grown up”, seeing you at the store was always a great thing. Smiles and hugs still came easy. I guess now we hold on to the wonderful memories of Dick, of being Santa, playing music, at the lake, and for you all, so many more. You are all very special to us and we are here, if at this time or in future, we can be of help. We are so sorry for this great loss. You’re in our thought and prayers.

Condolence from Dave and Gail Goulden on June 17th, 2017 2:37 pm

Dear Babes and family:

We were truly sad to hear of Dick’s passing. Growing up on King Street with Dick and his brothers and sisters, I have many stories to tell… the BOYS on the hill had a lot of fun playing ball and fishing, and just generally hanging out – our mothers were saints for not putting us in jail at one time or another … but both mothers looked out for all of us at all times.

Over the years, when I lived away, Dick and I did not keep in contact but when I moved back here in the area after 45+ years, Dick and I picked up right where we left off, as if time had not passed at all.

Dick had a gift for music and loved to share it with others to bring joy to all around him. I know that Murray and Gary share our grief at this time and want the family to know Dick will be forever in our memories of good times on the hill and how good friends are made and kept forever.

Gail and I want you to know you will be in our hearts, thoughts, and prayers in the days ahead. God bless you and please know that Dick will be singing along with Elvis now, and entertaining all the heavenly angels on a daily basis.

With sincere sympathy and love,

Dave and Gail Goulden
