GODFREY – Deborah C., 61, of Liverpool, Queens County, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, December 29, 2019 after a lifelong battle with Fabry’s disease.
Born in Liverpool, Debbie was a daughter of the late Eldon Verge and Vivian (Greek) (Verge) Jollimore.
Debbie was a hairdresser for most of her working life and also worked for a time at the former Wong’s Restaurant. She enjoyed her time spent at the beach and collecting beach glass. She loved animals and was a voracious reader. She will be fondly remembered for her selfless acts towards her family.
Surviving are her daughters Meagan Godfrey of Liverpool, Kimberley Godfrey (Robyn McAuley) of Spryfield, her grandson Kaeleb, her sister Susan Verge (Doug Stevens) of Milton and her brothers Dan (Selena) of Mersey Point, Matthew of Port Mouton and her step father Jordan Jollimore of Milton. Also survived by her life-long, good friend Burton Oickle.
Besides her parents, Debbie was predeceased by her brother Kevin.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Chandlers’ Funeral Home, Liverpool. A celebration of Debbie’s life will be held Thursday evening from 7 until 9 p.m. with prayers being said at 8:00 p.m. all in Chandlers’ Funeral Chapel, Liverpool. A private family interment will take place at a later date. Family flowers only, donations may be made to the family. Online condolences may be made to www.chandlersfuneral.com

I knew Debbie in school and she was always full of life, always had a smile or a hardy laugh. She loved a good joke. She was so beautiful both inside and out and she will be dearly missed by her daughters and grandson, plus all that had a privilege to know her. Rest easy Debbie and know your memory will live on. Love from a friend of many.
Sandy Cross
Kimberly, Meagan and Kaleb, I was so shock to hear of Deb’s passing. She had so many up and downs in her life, but one thing for sure she loved you girls so much. The day you both came into her life was the happiest I ever saw Debbie. Kaleb when you were born, your nana was beaming from ear to ear. There was no one who could love you more than your nana. She was so proud of you.
Susan, Danny and Mathew, Debbie loves you all, but the Fabry’s took away her light in her eyes. She would do anything thing for any of you, that’s how much she loved you. But like the rest of us, she never told you.
My condolences to you all.
Deb you are now free of pain, so go spread your wings and enjoy the freedom God has chosen for you. Though you were taken at a young age, God had special plans for you. R.I.P. cousin Debbie. I will miss you sending me notes of Mickey Mouse.

You will be missed, my old friend.
Although life and time had distanced us, I fondly remember so much from over the years. The snowstorm adventure treks as a kid from West Berlin to Milton; the hair highlights in many a basement/kitchen chair; beach walks and seaglass treasures; so many bonfires at every damn place you lived; tears and laughter over many clinking Labatt’s; yard sales (both had and swarmed); swims in the rivers/beaches/lakes; dancing in halls and bars all over the maritimes; quiet times reading side-by-side; hugs when needed or just when assumed. Laughter and music, always.
To all of those that connected with Deb in any capacity (and especially to Meagan, Kim and Kaeleb), I extend my sincerest warmth. She will be missed; may you always remember.
