
GLAWSON – Ann Marie, 71, of Port Medway, Queens County passed away peacefully in Queens General Hospital, Liverpool, N.S on Saturday, June 17, 2017.
Born in Brooklyn, she was a daughter of the late Russell and Muriel (Allen) Evans.
Ann was a former cook for Lane’s Privateer Inn and a personal caregiver at the former Fahie’s Nursing Home. She was avid bingo player and enjoyed cooking and baking, reading and listening to music; gospel in particular. She will be fondly remembered by her family and friends as a sociable people person with a great sense of humor.
She is survived her daughters: Tina (Ken) Oickle of Milton; Terri (James) Munroe of Brooklyn; Denise Mallett of Liverpool; son Mark Slauenwhite (Jennifer Blagdon) of Charlottetown P.E.I; grandchildren Sam and Taylor Oickle and Emily Munroe; sisters Joan (Howard) Henderson of Brooklyn; Rita Dagley of Liverpool.
She was predeceased by her husband Spencer; sisters Marion and Dorothy and brother George.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Chandlers’ Funeral Home, Liverpool. Funeral service will be Thursday, June 22, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. from Port Medway Baptist Church. Reverend Terry Brewer officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Port Medway. Family flowers only, donations may be made to a charity of choice.
