My prayers go out to Uncle Basil, Dawn and Susan for your loss. I’d like to share a few of my thoughts about my Aunt; your wife and mother……
My fondest memories of Aunt Heather revolve around the years of my youth. I’ll always remember Louishead with her and my uncle Basil and my parents, grandparents, Dodee and Dot and Chester along with my two wonderful cousins; Dawn and Susan, and much later on when my little brother made his appearance and memories with many others as well. These timeless memories I have of Louishead that I have always held so dear will forever have a special place in my heart for many reasons and Aunt Heather is one of those reasons. “Thank you” Aunt Heather for helping to create some of the greatest memories of my life and may you always rest in peace. xo

Dawn , Basil ,Susan and family , we are so sad to hear of Heathers passing. She has been the best neighbour anyone could ask for. When I think of the 22 years since our crazy family moved next door how your parents probably thought to themselves “there goes the peace in the neighbourhood”. We felt welcome because of your parents. She will be dearly missed. May she be at peace. Sincerely Leslie and George

I am so very sorry to hear this news. My first encounters with Heather were through the Winds of Change, in the earlier years. She was always willing to do what she could for the productions and was a good sport… lots of fun. I enjoyed our chats and catch ups when she worked the desk over the years, at Lane’s. My heartfelt condolences to Basil, who I am sure will be lost without her and to their children, who have lost their mother way too soon.

Dawn and family I’m so sorry for the loss of Heather .Every morning she would enter the gym she would say good morning to all that were there and then with her positive energy she’d hop on the rower to begin her workout . . Dear Basil,
I was shocked and saddened to hear of Heather’s passing. At the gym, Heather and I had great chats about folks in Louis Head: the Giffins being related to my beloved maternal grandmother, Charlotte Giffin Freeman. Decades ago I had the pleasure of teaching your beautiful, clever, talented daughters, Susan and Dawn, in Grade 3. Heather was so proud of her children and grandchildren and beamed with joy when she shared details of their many achievements. I will miss her friendly smile!
Sincere sympathy
