
Giffin – Evangeline “Eva” Mary, age 88, of West Berlin, Queens County passed away suddenly May 24, 2021 in Liverpool at the Queens General Hospital.
Born in Glace Bay, she was a daughter of the late Sylvester and Willena (Connolly) Chiasson.
Eva met and married Dad in Toronto and later moved to Sable River NS, where she raised her family and worked as a switchboard operator for many years and also sold Avon and Fuller Brush. They moved to Liverpool in 1967 where they started and operated several businesses. Eva enjoyed needlepoint, beadwork, cross stitching, bingo, going to the lake, fishing, feeding her birds, and got lots of enjoyment from her dog and cats.
Eva is survived by her sons Charles of Kedgwick NB, Ricky (“BJ”) of Mt. Uniacke and daughter Wendy (Karl) Bergman of Oona River, BC. Her sisters Jean of Toronto, Marie of Yarmouth, Helen of Toronto and brother Joe of Thunder Bay, 7 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Mom was predeceased by Dad, her brother Stanley and sister Laura.
