
FRASER – Elizabeth “Betty” J., 79, of Liverpool, passed away peacefully in Queens Manor, Liverpool on Thursday, October 12, 2017.
Born in Pictou, she was a daughter of the late Selwyn and Elizabeth (Briard) Fraser.
Betty was a nurse and operation room technician for all of her working life. She started her career at the Halifax Infirmary and then worked at the “San” before moving to Liverpool where she worked in the OR for twenty six years until her retirement. She enjoyed quilting, gardening and bird watching. She did crossword puzzles and loved to read atlases. In her younger years, she played hockey, baseball and was an excellent swimmer.
Betty is survived by her brothers Daniel (Bessie) and Brian and her special close friend Paulette Wamboldt.
She was predeceased by her brother Donald.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Chandlers’ Funeral Home, Liverpool. A graveside memorial service will be held Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Gregory’s Catholic Cemetery , College Street. Father Charles Offor officiating.
