FOLEY- Anita L., 89, of Liverpool, Queens County, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday March 15, 2016.
Born in Liverpool, Queens Co. she was a daughter of the late Hector and Florence (Moreau) Hirtle.
Anita loved country music and travelling; visiting Nashville twice as well as Bangor. In her younger years, she was an avid bingo player. She was a big fan of Sidney Crosby and the Pittsburgh Penguins and hardly missed a televised game. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren and her great-grandson.
She is survived by her daughter Valerie (Andy) Grezaud of Liverpool, granddaughter Jackie (Steven) Godfrey of Milton, NS, grandson Jeffrey (Kelly) Hanley of Milton, ON., great-grandson Colten Godfrey, sister Beatrice Mouzar of Brooklyn. Her niece Susan (Brain) West, her special niece Brenda (Donnie) Vaughn and nephew Gordie Ernst (Crissy Boutilier).
She was predeceased by her husband William, sister Evelyn and brother-in-law Carl Ernst, brother Gordon, brother-in-law Victor Mouzar and nephew Gary Mouzar.
Funeral service will be Friday, March 18, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in Chandlers’ Funeral Chapel, Liverpool. Reverend Bonnie Baird officiating. Burial will be in Trinity Anglican Cemetery, Bog Rd., Liverpool. Family flowers only, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia.
