FISHER – Roderick J., 60 of Port Mouton, Queens County, passed away suddenly at home on Friday, January 15, 2016.
Born in Liverpool, he was a son of the late Chester and Barbara (Roy) Fisher.
Roddy was a fisherman all his life and an avid hunter.
Survived by daughter Amber, sons Jeremy and Bradley, grandson Jordan, brother Neil, special friend Mary Dahr and former wife Susan Fisher.
Predeceased by his first wife Gail Burgess.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Chandlers’ Funeral Home, Liverpool. No funeral at this time. No flowers. Donations to Queens General Hospital Foundation. Online condolences may be made to www.chandlersfuneral.com

    Your dad was one of a kind … We will never forget him! He was a kind man, and loved you all very much. The memories of his halirious stories are with us forever! Your dad was a true storey teller… No matter how many time he told it … he could still make you laugh! He put smiles on many faces! Some of our most fun times we spent with him!
    He was an adventurous man and lived as he wanted, his own way …. from his time up north with the Coast Gaurd, to his time spent biking through water holes, and fishing hard … He enjoyed his life to the fullest! Hang on to your special memories of him, he is at peace now. Take care of each other.

    I may have been young, but who would ever forget the “chirp” you had to leave in the black chev truck every time you left the store. Some things are for ever etched in your mind and never forgotten. Mom and I would always chuckle. Rest in peace.

    So sad to hear of Roddy”s passing.He was a friend for 40 years.Always kind and cheerful,Roddy always made you laugh.I have memories of Roddy”s SS car when I was a teenager,spending weekends in PM.RIP old buddy,you will never be forgotten.As Roddy would say,RIGHT ON…..

    To all the Fisher Family

    So sorry to see Roddy’s passing. I knew Roddy from elementary school and continued to be friends with Gail and Roddy. I knew Barbara for many years since she and Blanche used to clean my mom’s house to both of them working at the Dairy Treat. And I remember Amber from my sister in law babysitting her and her hair standing straight up. And I remember Susan from working for us in Summerville. Lots of memories. All good ones to hang onto.
