FEENER – Michael “Flash” James, 69, of Liverpool, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, August 19, 2020, in Queens General Hospital, Liverpool, NS.
Born in Liverpool, Michael was a son of the late Arthur and Josephine (Lewis) Feener.
Flash worked for Bowater Mersey Paper Company in Brooklyn, Nova Scotia as a paper maker until his retirement. Michael enjoyed spending time with his family and attending his daily meetings with his friends at the bar and the Legion. He especially enjoyed spending time with his close friends Richard and Ruby Coombs and going for drives with Gump. He really enjoyed his Alaska Highway trip. He will be fondly remembered as an avid weather watcher. He may not have been right the majority of times, but… Flash will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed by all who knew him.
Flash is survived by his sister Ann Marie Gibson of Middle Sackville, brother Joey (Donna) of Liverpool. And nephews Andrew Gibson and Evan Feener.
Cremation has taken place under the directions of Chandlers’ Funeral Home, Liverpool, NS. A graveside memorial service will take place Saturday, August 22, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. in Trinity Anglican Cemetery, Bog Road, Liverpool, N.S. Reverend Judy Cross officiating. No flowers by request, donations may be made to the Queens Universally Designed Play Park, Liverpool c/o Debbie Wamboldt Box 316, Milton, N.S. BOT-1PO.
