joanneinframe 1

Fancy – Joanne Louise, 68, of Milton, Queens County, passed away on Tuesday, November 22nd, 2022 at South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater.
Born in Liverpool, Joanne was a daughter of Nancy (Whynot) Wamboldt of Milton and the late Russell Wamboldt.
Joanne and Larry were inseparable and shared many precious memories together. Joanne was a generous, caring person with a kind gentle soul, always making sure everyone was taken care of. She would do everything and anything for her family. Her family and friends knew her as an incredible mother, loving grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Most of her nieces and nephews lovingly referred to her as JoJo. Joanne was a very artistic person. Joanne and Larry spent 20 plus years as artist at the Nova Scotia Art Festival. Some of Joanne’s best times were going for drives with Larry and Michael, yard sales, shopping to find a bargain, and stopping for a nice lunch before heading home. She loved her kitties and always made certain that any animal that came to the yard always left with a full belly. Joanne was most proud of her granddaughter, Alyssa for becoming “a good little nurse”. She was so loved and will be deeply missed.
Joanne is survived by by her loving husband of 51 years, Larry; son; Mitchell (Sheri Joudrey) of Blockhouse, Michael of Milton; granddaughter, Alyssa; sisters, Marilyn (Mike) Thorburne of Hunts Point, Pauline (James) Whynot of White Point, Jeanette Wamboldt of Liverpool; brother, Wesley Wamboldt of Milton; many nieces and nephews.
Joanne was predeceased by brothers, Arnold and Brian.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Chandlers’ Funeral Home, Liverpool, NS. A private family service will be held at a later date. No flowers by request, donations in Joanne’s memory may be made to the Nova Scotia Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the Canadian Kidney Foundation. To share memories or condolences, please visit www.chandlersfuneral.com

The family would like to send a thank you to all the Doctors and nurses at South Shore Regional Hospital Emergency Department in Bridgewater and a special thank you to Alyssa Fancy and Sheri Joudrey who provided Mom with special care and compassion.

My Dear Friend, When last we saw each other, we stopped and chatted as we always do. On most occasions, Hugs. I mentioned about your birthday soon coming up and mine right behind you. We never felt the need to talk each day, drop in visits or any of those things because for us our caring was always in our hearts and minds. There was never a disagreement between us. You weren’t feeling so good that day and was going to be talking to your Halifax Doctor that afternoon. Today, I think about you and recall the past, our friendship over the years and how it withstood, How little we know the future and how suddenly you were gone. I remember, I will miss you, my dear friend.

    Larry, I am so sorry
