
FANCY – Anita R., 101, of Hibernia, Queens County, passed away peacefully in Queens General Hospital, Liverpool on Friday, August 5, 2022.
Born in Maitland Bridge, Annapolis County, Anita was a daughter of the late Alvin and Mabel (Orde) Charleton.
Anita enjoyed all sorts of games, especially cards and was a regular at card parties held at the Westfield Community Center when she was able to attend. She also enjoyed playing bingo, radio bingo being her favorite which she rarely missed; and crib. She also had a love for cats. Anita loved to spend time with her family especially her grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
Anita is survived by her daughter Loretta Ringer (Vernon Drew) of Wileville. Her sons Lorne (Connie) of Westfield, William (Lorna) of Liverpool, Bruce (Sylvia) of Hibernia and Murray of South Brookfield. Many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great, great grandchildren.
Besides her parents, Anita was predeceased by her husband Noble, her son Andrew and her brothers Albert, Harris and Chester.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Chandlers’ Funeral Home, Liverpool, NS. A graveside funeral service will be held Tuesday, August 9, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. in Maplewood Cemetery, Maitland Bridge. No flowers by request, donations may be made to the North Queens Fire Association, the North Queens Medical Centre or to the Westfield community Centre.
