Dyson, Peggy Joyce – 88, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, December 24th, 2009.
Peggy was a very proud wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed an enriched and rewarding life within the military and was fortunate to have spent time in France and Germany. Upon retirement to Liverpool, Peggy became very active with the Ladies Auxiliary of the RCL Branch # 38, the Liverpool Lionesses and getting Jack “put together and out the door on time”. Peggy was a talented seamstress never shirking from any challenge – including her own wedding dress. She was also a wonderful baker; her shortbread, mince tarts and decorated cakes were very popular. Peggy always wanted to travel to Australia and got that wish for their 50th Anniversary – riding the camel was quite an experience!
Peggy will be sadly missed by children Judy (Ray) Richardson, Edmonton, AB; Susan (Gary) Peverelle, Liverpool, NS; Karen (Elmer) Freeman, Greenwood, NS; and David (Jackie) Dyson, Western Head, NS; grandchildren Donna (Jeff), Debbie (Darin), Trevor (Tasha), Bonny, Dan and Jenny; great grandchildren Chanelle, Taylor, Aiden, Seanna and Josie, sisters-in-law Kathleen and Joan, and brother-in-law Frank.
Peggy was predeceased by her husband “Jack”, infant daughter Linda, sisters Stella and Eileen.
Special thanks to her “angels” Bev, Darlene, Ginny and Jackie and to Dr. Ernest for the many housecalls.
There will be no memorial upon her request. No flowers by request. Donations may be made to the Dalhousie School of Medicine. Online condolences may be made at https://www.chandlersfuneral.com

Our condolences go to all the family. It has been our privilege to be Peggy’s next door neighbour for just over three years !
