
DUNN – Dorothy Rosemond, formerly of Middlefield, Queens County, passed away peacefully on January 7th, 2012 at Queens Manor, Liverpool, surrounded by her loving family.
Born December 7, 1927, in Middlefield, Queens County, Dorothy was the daughter of the late Mae (Saunders) Freeman.
She lived most of her life in Middlefield and was a dedicated wife, mother and caregiver to elders. “Dot” loved country music, playing guitar, and gardening. She welcomed one and all to her home and enjoyed a good kitchen party. She met life’s challenges with humour.
She is survived by her son Gary Dunn (Mary), daughters Carol Smith (Wayne), Donna Peverill (Dale), Patricia Whynot (Kevin), 17 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
She is predeceased by her husband Mervyn, son James, brother Stanley (“Tom”) and sister Clara.
A service to remember and celebrate Dorothy’s life will be held on Tuesday, January 10th, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in Chandlers’ Funeral Home, Liverpool. A reception will follow the service at the Canoe & Camera Club in Milton. Internment will be in Middlefield-Pleasantfield Community Cemetery following the reception.
