DOWDY- David Richard, 42, of Liverpool, Queens County passed away suddenly at home on Friday, February 21st, 2014.

Born in Cleveland, OH, he was a son of David (Sandy) Dowdy Sr. of Greenville, WV and the late Camilla “Virginia” (Fish) Dowdy.

David was a machinist by trade and enjoyed doing backyard mechanic work. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan and avid darts player as well as an associate member of Mersey Branch # 38, Royal Canadian Legion, Liverpool. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his twin girls, Kayla & Krista and his “ baby” Shakira.

He is survived by his companion of twelve years, Melinda Whynot, his daughters Kayla & Krista, both at home, his son David of Cleveland, his stepson Dakota “Cody” at home, his sisters Lisa Dowdy of Sheffield, OH, and Tammy (Edward) Wilson of Aikin, SC, nieces Heather and Tiffany Wilson, nephew Joshua Dowdy and his half brother T.J. Dowdy of Union, WV.

Cremation has taken place under the direction of Chandlers’ Funeral Home, Liverpool, N.S. At David’s request there will be no service. No flowers, donations may be made to the family. Online condolences may be made to www.chandlersfuneral.com.
