To Betty’s family- I am so sorry to hear about your loss. I hope you all find some comfort in each other as you celebrate Betty’s life. I met Betty many years ago while visiting my Aunt Carm in Port Mouton. We had great times together. Shopping in Bridgewater, Bingo in Liverpool or just a chat around the table with a cup of tea. I remember on one of my visits, it was Carm’s birthday and she was working. I had no car so I called Betty and she drove me to town to pick up a cake and surprise Carm 🙂 She had a heart of gold!!!
Good bye to a wonderful woman. She is at peace now.
God bless,

To all who knew and loved Betty, my deepest sympathy at this sad time. Betty was a part of our family – she was more than an office manager for C.W. McLeod Fisheries, she drove my mother to Halifax, and was like an aunt to me, my sister, and brother. She was a valued employee who my father could always count on. She will reunited with Uncle Ira and finally free of pain and worry. Coming home won’t be the same without her to visit. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

We are sad to read of Betty’s passing. We spent many years as fellow campers at Holiday Haven in Kingston. Betty was always around…watering gardens for folks not there, laughing at campfires, visiting and enjoying a glass of sherry on the deck. She and Ira were good friends with all the seasonal campers and we have many memories of them both.

I had the opportunity to know and visit with Betty at my brother’s dance’s and found her to be one of the nicest ladies I had the chance to meet in my lifetime. She was always smiling and so friendly, such a special lady. She will be sadly missed by so many but my condolences go out to her family during this difficult time; I am so sorry for your loss.
Below is a poem I hope helps you when times are a little tough.
Angels live forever far beyond our days on earth
and every soul receives an angel guardian at birth.
Invisible these angels never leave us day or night.
They know our fears and whisper,
things are going to be all right.”
They give us strength and purpose,
keep our hope and courage strong,
they fill our minds with wisdom
and our spirits with a song.
And when the time in this world comes
to reach our journey’s end, our angel walks beside us
like a kind familiar friend.
And as we leave behind the only place we’ve ever known
we see our angels smile at last and hear…
You’re home…you’re home.”
To the family of Betty Decker…
May you find comfort in knowing that your loved one
has been guided safely home.
God Bless you today and everyday
