It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Anna Kathleen Daury, on August 7th, 2015.
Born on December 16th, 1937, she was the eldest daughter of the late Travers & Kathleen Allison.
During her working years she was employed at White Point Estates, The Quarter Deck and she was a long time employee of C.W. McLeod Fisheries. Mom enjoyed sewing, crocheting and knitting. She was the happiest in her kitchen preparing meals for her family or baking treats which she would happily deliver to family and friends. In her younger years Mom enjoyed camping with Ralph Sr. on family outings and in her later years with her dear friend Murray. She enjoyed sitting around the campfire, listening to music, drink in hand, with great company.
A very devoted mother, she leaves behind to mourn her sister Sheila, of Brooklyn, her daughters, Louise (Darrell), of Liverpool, Susan (Kenny); son Ralph Jr., all of South West Port Mouton. Her pride and joy were her grandchildren, Kyle and Brandi (Catlin). She spent many hours when the children were young having tea parties with Brandi and she and Dad would dance with Kyle to the music of Uncle George. The Apple of her eye was her precious great granddaughter, Tecoa, who she loved more than life itself. Tecoa’s Mom, Amanda held a very special place in her heart, she loved her like a granddaughter. Also surviving are extended family and many friends who loved and respected her.
She always put her family first, right until the end. She never wanted to burden anyone. She will always be loved and missed by her family and anyone that was fortunate enough to have known and loved her.
She was predeceased by her first husband, Clare Colp; second husband, Ralph Daury; sister, Linda; brother, David.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Chandlers’ Funeral Home, Liverpool. A graveside memorial, will be held on Thursday, August 13th, 2015, at 11:00 a.m., from South West Port Mouton Community Cemetery. Family flowers only, donations may be made to the Nova Scotia Heart and Stroke Foundation. To share memories or condolences, please visit www.chandlersfuneral.com

Susan, Louise, and Ralphie,
I am saddened to hear of Anna’s passing. I knew her while living in Port Mouton, and cared for her while a patient in QGH. She was always so kind, and such a lovely lady, and also loved talking about her family. Keep all of your memories close to your heart, and in time those tears will become smiles knowing how lucky you were to have her in your lives.

Paul and I were fortunate enough to have been able to enjoy some of those big meals, delicious sweets and some great memories sitting around a campfire, with drinks in hand of course. Anyone who had the privilege of knowing and spending time with Anna is certainly going to miss her. She was such a wonderful, kindhearted lady who loved her family deeply. We are so glad she was part of our lives and we had chance to make some memories of our own. Thank you for sharing your wonderful mom. Please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers at this most difficult time and if there is anything that we can do, don’t hesitate to pick up the phone..

To all of Anna’s family – I send my sincere heartfelt sympathy. You indeed have lost the body of an angel on earth and now you will all have her as your angel in spirit. Anna took care of us when my mother was ill many years ago and I remember so very fondly of her baking for us and she would rock me hours on end and read me books and cuddle me. I will never forget her sweet voice and I was always so happy to meet up with her in the grocery store where she would give me huge hugs. Rest in peace sweet Anna – we will hug again someday.
