Tina and family I am saddened to hear about the loss of your mother. I served with Edith on the school board for many years. She was a joy to work with. She always came well prepared and had no problem advocating for Queens County students. Her respect for other board members and their opinions was always evident in how she approached issues. She was a very kind and compassionate person. A great loss to the community.

Bruce and family,
We extend to you our sincerest condolences. Edith was a terrific lady. I admired her efforts as School Board Member. Many years ago, she came to our rescue when we suddenly found ourselves in need of short term childcare. She lovingly accepted our daughter into her home and made each day she was there a special one. We have never forgotten her kindness. Memories are precious; may they guide you through these difficult times.

To Brue and family: It is with a heavy heart that we say good -bye to our neighbour Edith. She was quite a mover and shaker in her day. She was always ready to lend a helping hand and she loved her family and community. You didn’t ask Edith a question if you didn’t want the answer. She will be missed!
You can shed tears that she is gone,
Or you can smile because she lived.
You can close your eyes and pray that she’ll come back,
Or you can open your eyes and see all that she has left.
Your heart can be empty because you can’t see her,
Or you can be full of the Love that you shared.
You can turn your back on tomorrow and live yesterday,
Or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday.
You can remember her only that she is gone,
Or you can cherish her memory and let it live on.
You can cry and close your mind, be empty and turn your back,
Or you can do what she’d want…
SMILE…OPEN YOUR EYES …LOVE…AND GO ON!!!
Blessings Shirley and Paul

Bruce, Tina, Alan & to all of the family.
I am sorry to hear of your loss. It is a very difficult time when those we love leave us and I pray that God will strengthen each of you as you process and grieve the loss of a beautiful wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.
I have fond memories of Edith, particularly when Bruce and Dad fished together. Mom would leave Chris and I there if she had to either drive them to Lunenburg or pick them up. Edith always treated us very special and cooked us things that made us happy. Funny the things that we remember.
In closing, I know she will be missed dearly by you all and will leave a void in your hearts. I am holding you in my prayers.
Psalm 147:3 The Lord heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.
My sincere condolences,

To the Dauphinee Family (Bruce, Allan, Dale and Tina) as well as to Pat. Our sincere condolences on your loss. We were surprised to hear of Edith’s death, although we were aware of her health challenges over the past years. Edith played a huge role in our Family when John and Tara were children. She took them under her wing (And what a great wing that was!), when Terry and I were working. She provided support, guidance, no fail recipes (Although I still can’t get “Edith’s Biscuits” to turn out like hers), and oh yes– a story or two as well. Her death will leave a huge gap in your Family, but hang tightly to each other and your wonderful memories as these will help you through this tough time and keep her alive in your hearts!
