To Marilyn, Ferne and all of Myrtle’s family we send our sincere sympathy on her passing. Myrtle tried to teach me how to quilt but decided that I stick to knitting as I couldn’t handle little needles used in quilting like I could use knitting needles.
We will remember the happy memories we had with her and family. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Myrtle’s Family – Few days pass when we don’t think of Myrtle! Brian and I share with our guests the history of the Corkum Home for which Myrtle played an important role for generations. Still on display are samples of her hooked rugs, sewing machine…if the walls could speak they would certainly share the memories of a happy, memorable life.

To Myrtles family, My sincere condolences to her family. Myrtles husband Donald was a resident in North Queens where I worked in Nursing. I remember she made a quilt and donated it to the home to sell tickets on the quilt. She did beautiful work. My husband played music at Ryans hall one afternoon as my Aunt Muriel was living in the same unit where Myrtle was living, I went and talked to her and was blessed that I got to chat with her, Thinking of you all at this sad time, I still work at North Queens in Recreation.
