Conrad; Carmon Everett

August 14, 2016 146 Condolences

Carmoninframe

CONRAD – Carmon Everett, 64, of Eagle Head, Queens County, passed away suddenly in Queens General Hospital, Liverpool on Friday, August 12, 2016.
Born in Liverpool, Carmon was the only son of the late Everett Conrad and the late Florence (Selig) (Conrad) Lohnes.
Carmon was a long time employee for Michelin Tire in Bridgewater working for 35 years as a shift troubleshooter. He was an avid sports fan who enjoyed NASCAR, boxing, football, baseball; especially the New England Patriots and the Toronto Blue Jays. He was a regular at Tim Horton’s where he loved to tell stories, talk to everyone and meet new people. You weren’t a stranger to Carmon very long before he knew your life story. He enjoyed time at the beach watching the ocean and time spent in his garage tinkering with cars, trucks and anything with a motor. He loved to travel and especially loved to drive; “just jump in the car and go.”
He especially loved his family and was proud of his children and would do anything for anyone. If help was needed, he would give it.
Carmon is survived by his wife Colleen (Coombs); his daughter Nicole (Art) Shepard of Cole Harbour, his son Casey (Lynsey Meisner) of Halifax.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Chandlers’ Funeral Home, Liverpool where visitation will be held Tuesday, August 16, 2016 from 7 until 9 p.m. with a prayer service at 8 p.m. Reverend Judy Cross officiating. No flowers by request, donations may be made to a charity of your choice. To share memories or pass along condolences, please visit www.chandlersfuneral.com

I am so shocked to hear of this. I 1st met Carmon years ago, when he would come into the car dealership. The first thing that he would talk about was his children. He told me all about his son who was going to University; which he updated me on every time he was in. I have to say that this was a man that was so proud of his children. I am so sorry for your loss. He will be missed.

    Colleen and family,
I cannot tell you how saddened I was to hear of Carmen’s sudden passing. May god and family comfort you at this time. Carmen and I have been friends for over half a century and I will sorely miss him and our visits. He was a ‘free spirit’ who brought me laughter and many fond memories over the years. He left us too soon. RIP my friend!

Colleen & Family, we were very shocked to hear of Carmon’s sudden passing. I have known him forever. We went through school together and worked at Michelin at the same time. Although we weren’t in the same department we bumped into each other almost every day & of course we had the occasional chat on company time. After retirement I always saw him at Greenfield Dragway where he was a regular spectator & our chats somehow always had something to do with family in them. He was a great guy & will missed by all who knew him. Our deepest sympathy to you all. Rod & Ann

So very sorry to hear the news of Carmon’s passing. He was such a nice man. It was partly because of Carmon, that my son chose the career path that he did. Carmon very generously offered to have a conversation with him and because of that conversation, and based on Carmon’s knowledge and experience, he chose to take a different route. He followed up with me a year or so later and I thought that was so very kind of him. I am so sorry for your loss. My deepest condolences.

    August 16, 2016 at 4:43 pm

Dear Colleen, Casey, Nicole and family,
We can not even begin to understand your grief at losing one of the best people we will ever know. His smile would light up a room and now it is lighting up Heaven. There was only one time I can remember him not smiling, our sons were caught speeding. Actually they were racing but because of how we raised them the ones who caught them wrote a letter of recommendation on their behalf to the judge. You do remember Casey:). Carmie was a great dad, always there to whatever sport event it was. I know because I was always sitting next to him except at hockey. That is why his children are like they are today, GREAT.As many have commented he loved to tell jokes and stories for I remember at a game he was continuing to talk, I was trying to stay focused to the point I became frustrated and told him to shut up. He just looked at me with a grin and said “I thought you were smart enough to do 2 things at once” That was Carmie, to know him was to love him. We are honored to have had the privilege of knowing this wonderful man. Your journey ahead as you grieve will be difficult but in time the wonderful memories you hold in your hearts will take over. He will always be with you, never doubt that and he will continue to walk beside you. Cherish these wonderful memories for they are yours to keep. Lean on your friends and each other for support but knowing the type of person he was he would want you to get on with your lives. Give thanks for he was a gift from God. Be proud for he was a good person who brought joy to many as he traveled the path God had chosen for him. With love and hugs
    Zona and Stephen
