Condolences to all of the Colp Family! I have many “Memories” of Clyde! Too many to post here! I will share one! There might have been Rum involved! Subject “A” was convinced by Clyde that residents living where they lived should be able to set a trap! Subject “A” followed strict orders as to how to do this. (I hear Clyde supervised!) Subject “A” checked that trap and only brought back legal sized lobsters to share with Clyde. I hear it was 4 big ones! Subject “A” threw back 4 small lobsters. The mistake was telling Clyde that Subject “A” threw the small ones back! Clyde was a bit miffed and
said” Did you think the fine would have been less?” We will all miss Clyde! He had his own language! A Great neighbour who fed “Belle” lobster when she would visit and I settled for his saurkraut. His handshake is like no other! He will be missed! I hope this one story brings a smile to the Colp Family!! Love you Guys! Hope I can get down! Jeff

David, Louise, Debbie, Mitsy and Becky:
Sorry to hear of your Dad’s passing.
I’ve known your family since I was in Grade 8 travelling every afternoon on my bike with a friend of mine to visit a couple local girls.

What I’ll miss the most is the annual visits since probably the late 70″s from your Dad to have his tax returns done. I loved the stories he told about his relationship with my Dad and all the great cars Dad sold him with the nylons and a “beverage” under the front seat.

He was a great man and I hope your healing is easier knowing that.

I’m sending heartfelt condolences to all my cousins, Debbie, Louise, David, Mitzie, Becky, and their families for the loss of a great loving father and friend. Uncle Clyde was a good man whom I loved as well. He was a good husband to Aunt Rosie and a great and wonderful uncle to me. I’m so glad I got to see him and spend time with him on my last few visits to Nova Scotia. At last though his loneliness for Rosie will be over as I’m sure he is with her resting together at long last. God bless you all and may you find comfort in the knowledge that he is with your mother at peace.

    Dear Louise, Mitzi, and family,

I was so sorry when I heard of Clyde’s passing. Before your mom’s passing, he always wore a smile whenever I’d meet him in the grocery store. The back road won’t be the same without him on it! I hope you find comfort in the company of family and friends, and that your memories will ease your loss.
