Sheila, Murray, Angie and family –
I am so sorry to hear about the tragic loss of Kirk. He was a couple of grades ahead of me during the school years, so I never knew him all that well.. but he was always very kind and friendly to others, and I will remember that kindness fondly. Please know that our thoughts are with you all at this very difficult time.
Kristopher & Karen
Thinking of you all during this difficult time. No words can ever truly express the grief you are all dealing with. May you treasure your memories of Kirk.

So sorry for your loss
I am so sorry to have heard of Kirk’s passing. The obituary mentioned his intelligence, athleticism and humour however I cannot think of him without thinking of how loyal and open he was. We saw each other very infrequently however he never missed an opportunity to stop to talk to me. He always wanted to know what I was doing, if or where I was coaching or to reminisce about his days with the soccer “maniacs” from Brooklyn. We had a few run ins through soccer and hockey however he never ever left me feeling as if he resented any decision I made, even when he disagreed. Regardless of what he did, that grin of his made it difficult to stay mad for too long. He really taught me a great deal.
I’m trying to focus on all of the great memories I have of swimming, playing hockey, and just being childhood friends with Kirk. I am very sorry to hear of his passing. My deepest condolences to Murray, Sheila, Angie, and the rest of his family.

Sheila, it is with great sadness upon hearing of Kirk’s passing. When I talked with him on Thursday, we had a great chat about his career as a nurse and about his work at Bowaters. He spoke very fondly of you. I know he was worried about his dad and his neighbor. He seems to be a very passioned guy. It had been a while since I had talked to him, so it was nice to catch up on his career. He was a nice kind, careing person who will be greatly missed. Take care.

Such a loss for you, and also the community. If there is anything we can do Ange xo

Always knew how to put a smile on your face and make you laugh until your belly would ache. Over the years, no matter how much time would pass, out of the blue I’d get a message or a phone call that would last for hours. When we ran into each other it would be like no time had passed at all. I will miss him dearly.

Kirk will be missed by many people, and I offer my heart-fealt condolences to family and everyone who knew him throughout his undeniably short life. The memories we shared will remain — Cold summer mornings, poolside and getting ready to swim and compete for the Milton Dambusters. We were teammates while I played hockey, and Cross Country running, classmates in High School at LRHS, and ultimately at Dalhousie and Eliza Ritchie Hall.
His memory will live on within us all.
Sheila, Murray, Angela and family, Beverly and I were saddened to learn of the death of Kirk. We remember his enthusiasm, energy and competitive spirit. “The LORD is close to the broken hearted” Psalm 34:18 We are remembering you in prayer.

I am so sorry to hear of Kirks sudden passing. I knew him in university at Dalhousie. We took almost every course together and I always knew if he was in my group we would do well. He was always respectful, friendly and smiling, such a wonderful combination in a difficult course like accounting. He also worked at the gym and again always a warm welcoming smile to greet us on the way in. I find it difficult to believe he is gone so young, the world has lost a wonderful person. My deepest sympathies to your family.
