
Clattenburg, Dolores Alice “Dolly”, age 82, of Brooklyn, Queens County, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 11th, 2016, at Hillside Pines, Home for Special Care, Bridgewater, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Italy Cross, she was a daughter of the late Claude “Joe” and Vera (Llewellyn) Crouse.
Dolly loved to entertain people with her baking and cooking abilities. She would often say “I’m one tough old bird”, and that she was. She could often be seen in her younger years running a chainsaw in the family woodpile or out deer hunting with her husband Stanley. Dolly loved to play cards or a good game of Trouble. Recently Dolly accepted Christ into her heart, and now and forever will be in the presence of the Lord.
She is survived by daughter, Fay (Timothy) Levy, of Cherry Hill; sons, Ying (Della) Lou, of Dayspring and Tuson Lou, of Lunenburg, Philip (Cathy) Crouse, of Conquerall Mills; step daughter, Marilyn (Doug) Zwicker, of Beach Meadows; sister, Judy (Doug) Parnell, of Charleston; ten grandchildren; five great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her loving husband, Stanley; sisters Beverly, Linda; brothers, Donald, Robert and Gary.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 15th, 2016, from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m., and a Celebration of Dolly’s Life will be held on Thursday, June 16th, 2016, at 11:00 A.M., both from Chandlers’ Funeral Home, Liverpool. Reverend James Haughn officiating. Burial will be in Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Port Medway. Family flowers only. Donations may be made to Faith Baptist Chapel, Lunenburg.
