Clancy – Marie Olive, age 92, of Port Mouton, formerly of Summerville, Queens County, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 27, 2022 in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater.
Born in Queensland, N.S. Marie was a daughter of the late Clarence and Silva (Harnish) Manuel.
Marie was a very accomplished seamstress and cook. She was a caregiver and had a love for people, especially for her family and friends. Most of all, Marie will be remembered for her ability to connect with people through vibrant conversation.
Marie is survived by her daughters, Linda (Richard) Swain of Cape Negro and Coleen (Patrick) Ryan of Dartmouth; grandchildren, Erin, Shauna (Michael) Allen, Kaitlin (David) Raheb, and Liam (Josie Webster) Ryan. Great grandchildren, Luke, Josie, Ella, Hannah, Emerie, Nina and Ryan. Sister Hazel Boutilier of St. Margaret’s Bay; brothers Albert (Lois) of Abbotsford, B.C and Doug (Heather) of Coldbrook, N.S. Sister in law Denise Manuel of Windsor, ON and many nieces and nephews.
Marie was predeceased by her husband Willis and her brother Lawrence.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Chandlers’ Funeral Home, Liverpool, N.S. A memorial service will be held Saturday, October 15, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. in Chandlers’ Funeral Home, Liverpool, N.S. Reverend Cherry Workman officiating. Reception to follow in the funeral home. A private family burial will be take place at a later time. No flowers by request, donations may be made to C.N.I.B. Foundation or a charity of choice. Marie’s family would like to thank Dr. Woodford and Dr. McKinnon for the care that was given to her as well as Tim and Gloria Rudderham of Stone Haven Lodge who were part of her extended family for almost seven years.
