Thelma Rose Burgoyne

Burgoyne, Thelma Rose, age 75, of Danesville, passed away on Saturday, October 29th, 2016, in Queens General Hospital, Liverpool, surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Mill Village, she was a daughter of the late Ralph and Lydia (Carver) Weagle.

Above all else, Thelma was most passionate about her family and spending time with them. She was a kind, loving, devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Thelma loved to help and was very active in many community groups, including the Mill Village Fire Department Ladies Auxillary, Tops, and she was also an active member in the Danesville United Church. She worked at Newells Fishery and National Sea Products for many years. Thelma enjoyed baking, knitting and quilt making.

She is survived by her loving husband, Douglas; daughters, Melody, of Bridgewater, June (Kevin) Thorburne, of Liverpool; sons, Eddie (Wendy), of Bay Port, Eugene, of Bridgewater, (retired) Cpl. Darryl (Sherry), of Oromocto, New Brunswick; grandchildren, Cory, Mikey, Laura, Krystal, Andrew, Randy, Nick, Jared, Mikey, Devon, Scotty and Timothy; great grandchildren, Christopher, Shyanne, Kyra, Jayla, Peyton, Alyssa, Rachael, Justin, Alba; sister, Barbara (Forrester) Selig, of Liverpool; many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by brothers, Aubrey, Emerson; two great grandchildren; daughter in law, Miranda.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 1st, 2016, from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m., from Chandlers’ Funeral home, Liverpool. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, November 2nd, 2016, at 2:00 p.m., from Danesville United Church. Reverend Vivian Moores officiating. Burial will be held at a later date.
