Dear Family, I am so sorry to hear the passing of your Mom. Elsie came to live at Hillsview for a while…she wasn’t there very long and everyone took a liking to her, very pleasant, always so appreciative of everything you did for her…but one day soon after she arrived I was in her room, and she couldn’t see very well…she liked the sound of my voice and said I sounded like her granddaughter and asked me I would like to call her “Nanny” and i agreed. Soon after that Elsie’s new name thoughout the home was Nanny…I never forgot her…a few times I went to Lockport I dropped in to see her and she never forgot the sound of my voice and was so happy I stopped in to see her…May you R.I.P. Nanny!

I was a student at Surf Lodge nursing home and I loved spending time with Elsie. All of us called her “Nanny Elsie”, I just found out about her passing and I feel terrible. She was such an amazing little lady and I loved her very much. You will all be in my thoughts in prayers.
